During The Event

Details of the Legal Seminar

In cooperation with Haziq, Teo & Co, we have conducted a legal seminar in Maktab Rendah Sains Mara Kubang Pasu (MRSM Kubang Pasu) on 30th November 2023 at Dewan Baitul Hikmah. In that event, both of the firms had introduced the principles of Wasiyyah and Hibah to the Form 4 students of MRSM Kubang Pasu. Instead of a legal seminar, our firm also prepared a mini game on mystery boxes to enable the students to learn new knowledge through interesting events. Next, we had scheduled an activity on ExploreRace for the participants as well. This event started at 2:00 p.m. and ended at 5:00 p.m., which took 3 hours to complete.

Objectives

To disseminate information and knowledge on Hibah among the community in MRSM Kubang Pasu.
To raise legal awareness among the community with regard to the practice of Hibah in estate planning from a legal perspective.
To educate the participants about the conditions that must be fulfilled before a Hibah can be made.

During the Legal Seminar

In the first session of the event, our firm mate, Ms. Anis Syafiqah binti Yusuf had shared the principle of Hibah to the participants. After that, we carried out the mini game session of mystery box with the participants. In that activity, every participant is requested to put in their hands to get the marbles in accordance to exchange the five (5) elements of Hibah which are: Donor, Donee, Property, Sighah, and Qabd. Subsequently, Amir, Tan & Associates worked out together with Haziq, Teo & Co in conducting the ExploreRace for the participants to find the words ‘ESTATE’ around certain pre-set areas while the faster homegroup to complete the search was the winner.

We truly appreciate all the positive and lovely comments we received at the end of the programme. They also welcomed the possibility of other similar activities being held again for them. Their big smiles and grateful words have motivated us to contribute our legal knowledge to the community and persistently benefit them.

Financial Report

Above attached is the cash flow statement that shows the income and expenses of both firms in preparing this SULAM project. We have ensured that we will never over budgeting from the fund provided from SOL from time to time.
